UBC Athletics and Recreation is deeply saddened by the passing of one of our student-athletes, Laura Taylor.  Laura was a goaltender on the UBC women's hockey team and was loved by everyone she came in contact with during her lifetime, including her UBC hockey teammates and the staff at UBC Athletics.

"It has truly been our gift to have Laura as a member of the UBC Women's Hockey Thunderbird family this past season. Laura brought such joy to all those around her, inspiring them with her dedication and commitment to her academics, and athletics," says UBC head coach Graham Thomas. "We all have so many fond memories of her on and off the ice. It has been our privilege to work with Laura and her passion for playing will be remembered by all and not forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family."
