CALGARY – The UBC Thunderbirds were able to shake off a three game losing streak, a 3-5 regular season record and injuries to key players on their way to their second straight Hardy Cup final versus the Calgary Dinos.

Â
The game will be the ninth straight time UBC Head Coach has taken his team to a Hardy Cup. His players are well aware of that fact and also that seven of those appearances were while Nill was head coach of the Dinos.
Â
"We've got to make sure we have our coach's back," says UBC defensive lineman
Treymont Levy. "The previous history and the politics between the coaches, we've got to make sure we can back our coach up."
Â
Â
"The night before the big game you just have to relax," says Thunderbirds offensive lineman
Will Latu. "You have to know what you have to do and that your teammates are going to do what they have to do."

Â
The winner of the 80th Hardy Cup will get to host the Mitchell Bowl against the top team from the Atlantic University Sports conference. The winner of that game will move on to the Vanier Cup.
