The Matchup

 
UBC will be looking to bounce back from a couple of tough losses to regional rivals last weekend. The Thunderbirds (5-3-4) also want to gain some momentum as they prepare for their Canada West quarterfinal game next week.


 
The Thunderbirds are prairie bound for a weekend set against the Manitoba Bisons (3-6-3) and the Winnipeg Wesman (3-6-3). Both games go at 9am (PST) and can be watched live on CanadaWest.TV.
 
 

Last Action

 
UBC had a challenging weekend at Thunderbird Stadium losing 2-1 to Trinity Western and 1-0 to UFV on consecutive days. The 'Birds were arguably the stronger team in both matches, but their early season scoring woes resurfaced.
 
Manitoba played to a scoreless draw with Saskatchewan, while Winnipeg enjoyed a 1-0 victory over Regina.

Jasmin Dhanda (#9, F) – with 33 points in 15 games this year Dhanda is always a player to watch for the 'Birds. It will be exciting to see how many points the crafty striker winds up with in 2016.
