VANCOUVER – The 10th-ranked UBC Thunderbirds women's soccer team fell to 0-2 on the season after a 1-0 loss in Abbotsford, B.C., to the unranked University of the Fraser Valley Cascades on Sunday afternoon.

Emily Wilson. Beck placed her shot into the top left corner, giving the Cascades (1-1) their first win of the year.

Wilson made two saves in a losing cause while Kayla Kilm stopped six shots for the victory.

Meagan Pasternak both had two shots on net for the T-Birds.

UBC will return home for a two-game set next weekend against the University of Northern BC. Saturday's game will be at Varsity Field at 12 noon while the Sunday rematch at noon will take place on David Sidoo Field at Thunderbird Stadium.
