SASKATOON - For the second straight night, University of Saskatchewan forward Kyle Bortis netted two goals to lift the Huskies to a 4-2 victory over the visiting UBC Thunderbirds Saturday night in Saskatoon's Rutherford Rink.
Bortis, a third-year Saskatoon native, tallied two power play goals at 15:02 in the first period and at 16:01 in the third. In Friday night's 4-2 victory over the T-Birds, Bortis scored the Huskies' third and fourth goals.
With the win the No. 7 ranked Huskies move to 9-2-2 on the season and completed the weekend sweep. UBC drops to 5-7-2.

Justin McCrae opened the scoring on a scramble in front of the net when he slipped a Ryan Holfeld rebound into the net at 5:34 in the first period.
Huskie captain Kyle Ross notched the game at one just 27 seconds later.
Rookie Matthew Spafford gave Saskatchewan the 2-1 lead when he picked off a pass from behind the net and quickly beat UBC netminder
Jordan White at 13:34 in the same frame. Bortis scored the first period insurance goal from the slot on a pass from the point.
The T-Birds'
Jordan Inglis pulled his team within one at 7:32 in the third period after his shot beat Holfeld over the shoulder. Bortis gave the Huskies back the two-goal lead with four minutes left in the game.
White finished the game stopping 23 shots, while Holfeld made 28 saves in the win at the other end of the ice.
Saskatchewan played strong on special teams converting on 2-of-4 opportunities with the man advantage. UBC went 0-for-6 on the power play.
The Huskies remain at home to host the University of Regina Cougars December 2-3 in the final regular season action before the holiday break, while UBC returns home to host the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns.
