SASKATOON - Kyle Bortis netted two goals to lead the University of Saskatchewan Huskies to a 4-2 victory over the UBC Thunderbirds Friday night at the PAC in Saskatoon.

The third-year forward tallied at 11:06 on the power play in the second period to give the Huskies the 3-2 lead. He added his second at 3:54 in the third period.
With the win, the No. 7 ranked Huskies move to 8-2-2 on the season, while UBC drops to 5-6-2.
Michael Wilgosh opened the scoring for the T-Birds at 7:03 in the first period before Huskie captain Kyle Ross answered at 11:36 in the same frame.
Wilgosh now has seven markers on the season.
Justin McCrae gave UBC a one-goal lead at 18:04 on the power play in the first period when Jesse Zetariuk was caught for hooking.
Michael Kaye notched the game at two at 8:26 in the second period before Bortis' scored his two goals.
Saskatchewan netminder David Reekie made 27 saves in the win, while
Jordan White stopped 22 shots at the other end of the ice.
Each team capitalized with the man-advantage with UBC 1-for-4 and Saskatchewan 1-for-1.
The two teams will meet again Saturday night. Game time is 6 p.m.
