VANCOUVER - The UBC Thunderbirds softball team's "season of firsts" continues this Friday, March 5th as they host the SFU Clan in their first-ever varsity home games.
The doubleheader is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. start at London Park #1 in Richmond, BC and is UBC's only home date of their inaugural varsity season.
SFU should prove to be a worthy adversary as the no. 9-ranked team in the NAIA pre-season poll and are 4-2 so far this season.
The T-Birds are 3-6 in their first tour as an NAIA varsity squad, having already made road trips to California and Oregon.
They come into this weekend having won two of their last four games.
