VANCOUVER - The UBC Thunderbirds men's soccer team is hosting a friendly against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Wednesday, March 31 at part of the pro team's pre-season preparations.
The Whitecaps, who are competing in the newly-formed USSF D-2 Pro League this season before moving to the MLS in 2011, will make the trek to Thunderbird Park at the end of the month as the wind down their friendly schedule in preparation for their regular season. Kick-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on the turf pitch.
Admission to the game is free.
The tilt between the two Vancouver-based sides is the final tune-up for the 'Caps as they open their USSF D-2 season on April 11 versus NSC Minnesota Stars at Swangard Stadium.
