LANGLEY, BC -
Tyson Keam converted a penalty kick in injury time to salvage a single point for the UBC Thunderbirds on the road with a 2-2 result against Trinity Western in Langley.
UBC (5-2-1) were down to 10 men for the final two minutes of regular time following a straight red card to
Jason Gill, however, redemption was on the menu as Keam, who hails from Langley, slotted home the tying goal from the penalty spot very late into extra time.

Danfi Parker scored a pair of second-half goals for the host Spartans to erase a 1-0 UBC lead. The talented striker wasted little time after the break, potting his fifth goal of the campaign in the 47th minute. He then put TWU ahead in the 83rd minute with another clinical finish.
Ryan Reynolds opened the scoring in the eleventh minute for the visiting 'Birds, breaking through the Spartan backline and beating keeper Andrew Kowan. UBC goalie
Zach Kalthoff started his eighth straight game for UBC but came out in the 16th minute due to injury and was replaced by
Richard Meister who made three saves in relief.
UBC closes out the home portion of their Canada West regular season at home next weekend, hosting Lethbridge and Calgary.
