SASKATOON - Six different University of Saskatchewan Huskies scored in a 7-1 victory over the UBC Thunderbirds Friday night in Saskatoon's Rutherford Rink.
Rookie Andrew Bailey scored twice and Steven Gillen, Steven DaSilva, Brennan Bosch, Shaun Vey and Chris Durand each had one goal. Kyle Bortis and Chad Greenan each had three assists, while Zach Sim had two helpers.
The win moves the Huskies to 5-5-1 on the season, while UBC falls to 3-5-1. It is the Huskies fourth straight lopsided win on home ice. Huskie wins at Rutherford Rink have come 6-0 over the University of Regina and 7-3 and 9-2 over the University of Lethbridge.

Jeff Lynch opened the scoring at 12:38 in the first period but the lead didn't last long. Huskie captain Steven DaSilva netted the equalizer just 30 seconds later.
Bailey added both of his goals in the second period to give the Huskies a 3-1 lead. The first was on the power play at 5:36 before adding his second eight minutes later.
The Huskies ran away with the game in the third scoring three goals in a minute and 14 seconds. Vey scored first at 10:51, followed by Gillen at 11:00 and finally Durand short handed at 12:05. Gillen's goal chased T-Bird netminder

Jordan White played the remaining minutes of the third period. He allowed Durand's short handed goal and another at 15:03 by Bosch.
Huskie goaltender Jeff Harvey made 29 saves for the Huskies, while Thuot made 17 in his 51 minutes and White had five.
The two teams will meet again Saturday. Puck drop is 7 p.m. at Rutherford Rink.
