Gord Collings enters his fourth season as the head coach of UBC Thunderbirds softball, which played its first season as members of the Cascade Collegiate Conference in 2016, going 11-17. Before that, the Thunderbirds competed the Association of Independent Institutions. With Collings at the helm, UBC went 16-15 in 2014, and 14-27 in 2015.
