MUSCLE MLK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK



Second-year outside hitter Irvan Brar led the UBC Thunderbirds men's volleyball team to a weekend sweep of the UBC Okanagan Heat by recording 29 kills over two matches.
 
Brar, an Arts student from Surrey, B.C., had 14 kills and 13 digs on Friday night as the Thunderbirds won in four sets.
 
He then knocked down 15 kills in just three sets as UBC improved to 7-1 on the season.
 
The T-Birds will head to Winnipeg this weekend to play two matches against the University of Manitoba Bisons.
