MUSCLE MLK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK


For the second time in his career, UBC Thunderbirds golfer Scott Secord (Calgary) won the individual title at the Golf Canada Canadian University/College Championship, which was played May 31-June 3 at the Morningstar Golf Club in Parksville, B.C.

Secord recorded a four-round score of 11-under-par 277 (67-67-73-70), claiming a four-stroke victory. He also led UBC to the team title, which it won by 45 shots over Victoria.

UBC swept both the men's and women's individual and team championships, becoming the first program to do so in tournament history.
