Women's basketball player Harleen Sidhu surpassed the 20-point mark twice in weekend wins over Winnipeg and Manitoba.

On Friday night at War Memorial Gymnasium in Vancouver, Sidhu gave her UBC team an outstanding performance by recording 24 points, seven rebounds and five steals in an 81-75 victory over Winnipeg. The Surrey, B.C. native made 12 of her 13 shots from the foul line.

The next night against Manitoba, Sidhu led the Thunderbirds in both points (21) and rebound (nine), on 8-for-9 shooting from the field in a 62-45 win.

Sidhu's weekend performances vaulted her into a tie for sixth in Canada West scoring, with an average of 16 points a game. It also helped UBC (6-2) move into a tie for first place in the Pacific Division with Fraser Valley.

This weekend, the two teams will face off in Abbotsford to determine which program will lead the division heading into the winter break.
