Fourth-year outfielder Bruce Yari (Waterloo, Ont.) had a terrific weekend at the plate, helping the UBC baseball team to a 3-0 sweep of the Oregon Tech Hustlin Owls.
 
Though Yari only notched a single hit, a ninth-inning triple, in the 2-1 extra-inning win last Friday, the senior torched the Owls in the next two contests. In an 11-1 win in the second half of the Friday doubleheader, Yari picked up two hits and three RBIs in just four at-bats, getting walked once. Yari added another pair of hits and two more RBIs in the series finale, a 7-0 shutout.
