Fourth-year forward Kara Spotton paced the UBC Thunderbirds women's basketball (4-6) team in both of their games against the Lethbridge Pronghorns over the weekend, helping the 'Birds earn their a sweep of their Albertan foes.
The Fort Collins, Colo. native stuffed the stat sheet in Friday's 79-36 win, going off for 21 points on 8-of-17 shooting, nine rebounds, and four blocks, while generally imposing her will inside the paint.
Saturday's 77-47 win saw Spotton rack up 19 points, four boards, and a steal. Again, Spotton's physicality inside was impressive, as she got to the free throw line a game-high 10 times, knocking down nine of her attempts.
The T-Birds will next head to Winnipeg, where they are set to take on the Manitoba Bisons in a back-to-back series on Friday, January 15, and Saturday, January 16.
