MUSCLE MLK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK


 
First-year UBC Thunderbirds forward Austin Vetterl (Surrey, B.C.) scored six points in a weekend doubleheader against the Alberta Golden Bears in Vancouver.
 
The former Kootenay Ice forward had a goal and an assist in Friday's 5-2 defeat and then racked up four helpers in UBC's 8-5 loss on Saturday. Of the seven goals scored by the Thunderbirds on the weekend, he was involved in six.
 
With 15 points in 14 games this season, Vetterl leads all rookies in Canada West scoring.
 
His UBC team is in Calgary this weekend to take on the Dinos.
