THE UBC THUNDERBIRDS LOOK FORWARD TO HOSTING THIS YEAR'S BUCHANAN CUP!
Come out and cheer on your UBC Thunderbirds Men's Basketball team as they take on SFU in a rivalry series game - the Buchanan Cup. This event is expected to have War Memorial Gym packed full as fans watch the lower mainland's longest standing men's basketball rivals go head to head. Be sure to grab your tickets early, while they last! Tip off will be at 7:30PM at War Memorial Gym on October 28, 2022.

Other Details
War Memorial Gymnasium is located on the north side of University Boulevard behind the residential mixed-use building named "Central", and on the south side of the Translink Bus Loop. Spectators entry is at the north west doors of the facility, located just south of the UBC Bus Loop.

Parking
- If driving, parking is available in close proximity to all the UBC Sporting venues.
· For events at War Memorial Gym, please park in the North Parkade, a 7-minute walk from venue.
· Additional parking available at the University Blvd Lot & Thunderbird Parkade

If you need accessibility access on game day, please email
guests.services@ubc.ca or call the War Gym Facility Staff phone (604-202-8322) when on-site. The ground level accessibility entrance can be accessed on the south side of War Memorial Gym, in between the gym and "Central" student apartments.
Health & Safety Practices
- Prior to coming to an event, please do a self-assessment and stay home if you are sick
- Please leave bags at home when possible to avoid your bag being searched by security
- Wash hands and/or use hand sanitizer frequently
No Re-Entry Policy
- The UBC Thunderbirds have a ‘No Re-Entry’ policy for all of their events.
Food and Beverage
- Limited or no concession offering will be available at the stadium
- All concession areas will be cashless - credit cards and debit cards only will be accepted
- A water fountain is available for water bottle refilling
- Outside food will be allowed within the venue upon entry (no ins and outs permitted)
- No outside alcohol will be permitted within our venues
