UBC Varsity Event Parking Information
Please be advised that UBC has now started construction adjacent to many of our UBC Thunderbirds home venues. Access to surface lot parking around these venues is very limited, and we encourage all fans travelling to the games to utilize the nearest parkade for the most consistent parking options.
War Memorial Gym: 6081 University Blvd
OPTION #1 - NORTH PARKADE (6 Min Walk with detours)If you are attending an event at War Memorial Gym (Basketball & Volleyball) we encourage you to park at North Parkade (6115 Student Union Blvd)- an approximate 6 minute detoured walk to War Memorial Gym (as indicated by the red arrow).Metered parking is also available south of War Memorial Gym on University Blvd, however, spaces are limited.
OPTION #2 - THUNDERBIRD PARKADE (6 Min Walk)If you are attending an event at War Memorial Gym (Basketball & Volleyball)
another option would be to park at Thunderbird Parkade (6085 Thunderbird Boulevard) -an approximate 6 minute walk to War Memorial Gym (as indicated by the red arrows on the map below). **
Please note that on the weekend of February 6th, UBC will play host to the Davis Cup. As a result, Thunderbird Parkade will operate with a flat $10 event rate and will be very congested.

Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre: 2555 Wesbrook Mall
If you are attending an event at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre (Men's & Women's Hockey) you are encouraged to park in Thunderbird Parkade (6085 Thunderbird Boulevard) -
an approximate 1 minute walk to Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre.
Thunderbird Stadium
If you are attending an event at the Thunderbird Stadium, please be advised that the parking lot is currently under construction (Fall 2014). Access to both the Stadium surface lot and adjacent gravel area is now closed. Temporary parking is available on the north side of Stadium Road in the gravel surface lot next to the hospice (formerly known as the B7 lot). This lot will operate in the same way as the Stadium lot (ie, passes required or pay at meter provided).
