VANCOUVER – The UBC Thunderbirds finished in 11th place at the 62nd annual NAIA Men's Golf National Championship in Salem, Oregon.
For a second straight day, UBC was 14-over par for a team score of 302. The 'Birds concluded the event with a four-round total of 51-over 1203, 55 strokes behind Oklahoma City. UBC was third at last year's NAIA championship on the same Creekside Golf Club course.

Individually,
Conner Kozak (Vernon, BC) was the highest-placing T-Bird in a tie for 31st after a final-round 1-under 71. He finished with an overall total of 10-over 298 (78-76-73-71).
Kieran Standen (Edmonton, AB) completed his first NAIA championship tournament with a score of 6-over 78 today for a four-round total of 12-over 300 (70-76-76-78).
Scott Secord (Calgary, AB) and
Andrew Ledger (Toronto, ON) both ended the event with a score of 17-over 305 and placed 52nd. Ledger fired a 3-over 75 today while Secord carded a 7-over 79.
Conrado Paderes (Vancouver, BC) closed with a 6-over 78 to bring his tournament score to 26-over 314, in a tie for 76th.
The team will begin preparations for its final event of the season, the Golf Canada University/College Championship, May 28-31 at the Club de golf Val des Lacs in Ste-Sophie, Québec.
